About Independent Spiritual Care

I support emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing at any stage of life. I am an SCA-certified Spiritual Care Practitioner and ordained by One Spirit Interfaith Seminary in New York City. This means that I care about the person in front of me and what matters to them, not about evangelising or “selling” a particular religion, culture, or identity.

I have a Masters’ degree in Sustainable Business and Communities, and have been working in spiritual care as a chaplain in Melbourne for over five years. I volunteer for VCC Emergency Ministries, providing psychological first aid and support for people in emergency and disaster situations.

My practice was created after witnessing a real need for specialist care for the wellbeing of people in community. This aligns with the trend of government support to keep people in their homes for as long as possible. My experience providing interim chaplaincy has given me insight into the need for locum services. My educational journey on the path to becoming an end-of-life companion has convinced me of the value of wholistic, wrap-around care in the palliative journey.

I consider myself an Interspiritual Minister- utilising presence, deep listening, and inner guidance to uncover what, in a person’s life, is the most life-giving and what their own wisdom is asking of them.
